CUBA

Cuba is the island that I have adopted. Among the 7000 islands in the Caribbean, Cuba is the largest.

Traveling to Cuba:

Things needed for traveling to Cuba are a Cuban Visa and a full size passport that will not expire in the next 6 months after your trip. Before you fly or go through a cruise, you must declare a valid travel category. There are many ways of receiving your Cuban Visa, some of those are through American airlines at the airport before flying, or you can order from directly online. American Airlines also offers a package specifically for American Airlines passengers from the Cuba Visa Services.

Upon landing in Cuba, you are required to get Cuban health insurance. Possibly the easiest method on receiving this is at the airport in Havana. Another thing you should get before or upon arrival of Cuba would be a currency exchange. Usually all major airports have a currency exchange booth where you can exchange your money there. The currency in Cuba is called Cuban Peso. 1 Cuban peso is equivalent to 1 US Dollar, with that being said conversions should be easier compared to others.

What are you going to do your entire trip in Cuba? You should plan with an Itinerary for your trip, that way you wouldn't run out of things to do or be lost on what to do, be sure to not don't spend money on anywhere on the restricted list though. Another good thing to do while your stay in Cuba is to keep your receipts and records in the unlikely event that the US ask for them.
